    starwood

    Monday, August 20, 2007, 02:50 AM [General]

one of the most interesting things that happened at starwood was the apparition of jesus in ian and sue's camper. it was really some stain from the rain or something but it looked like a renaissance jesus portrait. they could make money selling tickets to see it. little would the pilgrims know that the camper was owned by two of the biggest pagans in town.

i had an excellent time, i like such freedom to talk to random people and meet big names. i got to meet rev. ivan stang after being in his church for about ten years. i also met oberon zell too. i got to attend several workshops and a few rituals including an adf handfasting of west and sarah. they made a batch of cherry mint mead which they shared and it was yummy. i had a trancey experience at 'space trance' where we heard music recorded fromone of the voyager craft missions.

the fairy garden was very pretty. lots of lights and shiny things and it really made me slow down to look at everything and have a tranquil feeling.

one of my new favorite bands is called telesma which i saw most of their awsome concert.

one of the first nights i was there i was treated to some home brewed absynthe which was quite stronger than anything i have had before. i wish i could remember the name of the gentleman who shared it with me.

west is very smart, not only did he share his knowledge in general but also his knowledge of scotch in particular, which included tastings. he taught us to hold the scotch in the middle of the tongue and if it touches the back of the throat that ruins the taste.

there's a medeterian food place which is quite tastey.

i didn't get to do everything i wanted, i'm not sure this is even possible in one visit, good thing it's annual.  i would have liked to seen what the time machine was all about and visited some of the camps i did not get to.

i did manage to talk to lasara firefox about possibly writing a "sexy druid" book and maybe this would lead to a whole series of 'sexy...' books (sexy witch/druid/norse/etc) she's into it and would even write a nice review if we get it going, i still need to follow up on this.

there is so much friendlieness and hospitality it's amazing.

skip gave us a piece of lightning struck oak, it has some other significance, it was in a ritual or something, i forget, ill have to ask, but we got it.

i got back from wellspring today and have new ideas and things to do. it is very exciting and i feel good to be working on this stuff.

also, my group, x-philes pagans, has been growing, we are now on our second page of members and it's really great.

    hey guys

    Monday, May 14, 2007, 07:52 PM [General]

hey guys just wanted to keep everyone updated, i've been catching up on my work and projects and getting more organized and developing steadly. been kinda thinking about starting an arg and swarming around some ideas for that. i have also been making progress on the pagan fiction story i'm writing for the contest. i still have the same problem with what to do with energy when i get it. i just got 'celtic crystal magick vol 1' by rhuddlwm gawr. i can't find vol 2 so i sent him an email and am still awating results. this book looks like it will help with my book and it had the welsh gods that go with the stones, pretty cool.

one thing i'm unhappy with is that i haven't seen any new activity on my covenspace site here, i guess i need to get the word out more.
